UT Health San Antonio

Martha Evan Knepper, DDS

Assistant Professor/Clinical

Dr. Evan, obtained her DDS from Javeriana University  in Bogota, Colombia in 1996. From dental school and she then went straight to social service for a year working in a primary care dental clinic with underserved population in her hometown. This  greatly impacted her life and showed that providing care to the vulnerable population would continue to be a driving force in her career.

Dr. Evan then received a certificate in health auditing and health administration, followed by a General practice residency in 2011 at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky with a focus in medically compromised patients. She then attended UT Health Science Center San Antonio School of Dentistry as an Assistant Clinical Professor in 2018. In 2019,  while with the school of dentistry Dr. Evan had the opportunity to start working in a community-based rotation at San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic  at Haven for Hope supervising predoctoral  junior and senior students. This rotation gave her the chance to return to her fullfilment of working with underserved population, and at the same time helping to nurture that same desire to dental students.

Dr. Evan is a full time clinical assistant professor and Rotation Director of the primary care clinical rotation at San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic at Haven for Hope (SACD/HFH).
