Maria Escobar-Vasco, M.D.

Assistant Professor/Clinical

Dr Escobar Vasco received her Doctor of Medicine in CES University in Medellin Colombia. She subsequently completed training in Internal Medicine in 2015 and in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism n 2017 at the University of Texas Health San Antonio. She has always been passionate about science and education, and she joined our department as associate program director for the Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism training program. She supervises clinical fellows and residents and participates in the education of medical students. She sees patients in the general endocrinology and diabetes clinics at the marc and the general endocrinology clinic at the TDI.

Dr Escobar Vasco is an active member of the American Medical Association, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Endocrine Society and American Diabetes Association.
