Dr. Benjamin T. Enslow is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Sciences in the School of Health Professions at UT Health San Antonio, where he teaches Anatomy, Human Physiology, and Patient Assessment in the BSMS program. His teaching focuses on helping students understand how foundational science directly informs clinical thinking, and he designs courses that integrate core scientific principles with the reasoning skills expected in the health professions.

Dr. Enslow’s research examines how metabolism and the immune system influence one another in both health and disease. His work focuses on how metabolic stress alters immune responses and drives tissue dysfunction in obesity, type 2 diabetes, and the metabolic syndrome.
