Associate Professor/Clinical
Program Director, GI Fellowship
Director of Gastroenterology Education
I am an academic clinician-educator. I earned my medical degree in my native Colombia and then completed my training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology here at UT Health San Antonio. I have been delighted to remain in our institution to establish my academic career. I play a leadership role in the Gastroenterology Division as GI Fellowship Program Director and Director of GI Education and maintain broad clinical interests with a special focus on the management of complex colon polyps. My clinical activities are focused in University Health System at University Hospital and the Robert B. Green Campus, where I am grateful to have the opportunity to care for an underserved and predominantly Hispanic population.
