Marc Deschaine, PA-C

Marc Deschaine, PA-C, MPAS, DFAAPA, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery and advanced clinical practice. He currently serves in the Department of Orthopaedics at UT Health San Antonio, where he provides comprehensive care with a strong focus on patient education, evidence-based management, and surgical support.

PA Deschaine earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies in Orthopaedics from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed a Post Graduate Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center. His professional background includes work in orthopaedic oncology, trauma, sports medicine, foot and ankle surgery, and rural orthopaedic care.

He previously served as Medical Director of the MARC Orthopaedic Clinic, where he established the Ortho-Express clinic to improve access for patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries. In this role, he also mentored new advanced practice providers and physician assistant students and played a key role in optimizing electronic medical record workflows as a certified "Physician Builder."

Mr. Deschaine is proficient in ultrasound- and fluoroscopic-guided injections, fracture care, and surgical first assist across a broad range of orthopaedic procedures. He remains committed to advancing musculoskeletal care through interdisciplinary collaboration, education, and innovation.
