Scott Andrew DePaul, MD
Associate Professor / Clinical
Scott DePaul, MD joined the faculty of UT Health Science Center San Antonio, Department of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine in 2013 as an Assistant Professor / Clinical. He was promoted to Associate Professor / Clinical in 2018. Dr. DePaul served as the Internal Medicine Residency Site Director at the VA from 2015 to 2018. He continues to work with the residency program as a Quality Improvement Cohort leader and as a member of the Clinical Competency Committee. Dr. DePaul also works with the medical school as a synthesis facilitator for second year students. Since 2018, he has served as the Deputy Section Chief of Hospital Medicine at the VA. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2006 and completed his Internal Medicine residency with the Air Force (San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium) in 2009. Dr. DePaul is American Board of Internal Medicine certified since 2009 and his societal memberships include Alpha Omega Alpha, Society of General Internal Medicine, Society of Hospital Medicine, and American College of Physicians. He maintains an active clinical service as a Hospitalist at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital on both teaching and non-teaching inpatient General Medicine services and the Medicine Consult service.
