Serena De Luna is a registered respiratory therapist and educator dedicated to advancing clinical education, student success, and leadership within the respiratory care profession. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at San Antonio and her Master of Science in Respiratory Care from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Throughout her career, Serena has gained extensive experience caring for both adult and pediatric populations in critical care and emergency settings. These experiences have strengthened her appreciation for the vital role respiratory therapists play in improving patient outcomes and supporting patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Serena is actively engaged in student mentorship, clinical coordination, and professional development within respiratory care education. She is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that prepare future respiratory therapists for successful and impactful careers.
Serena is preparing to transition into a Director of Clinical Education role and is pursuing opportunities for doctoral study to further expand her contributions to healthcare education and leadership. Her professional interests center on enhancing clinical training experiences, promoting student achievement, and advancing the future of the respiratory care profession.
