Kathryn Crane, Ph.D., OTR is an Assistant Professor and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Texas at San Antonio Health Science Center. Her clinical and scholarly work centers on pediatric occupational therapy, sensory integration, and the preparation of occupational therapy practitioners for contemporary practice.
Dr. Crane's research examines how sensory integration theory, assessment, and intervention are represented within entry-level occupational therapy education, with an emphasis on evidence-informed curriculum development and interdisciplinary approaches to supporting participation and developmental outcomes. She has completed advanced post-professional training in sensory integration through the USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy.
She is actively engaged in graduate teaching, doctoral capstone mentorship, and curriculum design, and contributes to programmatic initiatives related to accreditation, student progression, and academic program development.
