Dr. Contreras is a full-time Associate Professor/Clinical for 5th, 6th, and 7th semesters traditional and accelerated undergraduate nursing students. She has over 18.5 years of nursing experience including background and specialty in Neonatal Intermediate Care and Pediatric Oncology/Hematology nursing. Dr. Contreras worked at Children’s Hospital of San Antonio for 12 years as staff/relief charge nurse and 10 years in academia at UTHSCSA. She graduated with a PhD in Nursing Science from Texas Woman’s University.
