Jorgie Ann Contreras, PhD, MSN, RN, CPN

Assistant Professor/Clinical

Subspecialties: Program Clinical Coordinator- Nursing Advancement in Clinical Translation Sciences (NACTS) -New Horizons

A full-time Assistant Clinical Professor/Clinical for 5th and 7th semesters traditional and accelerated undergraduate nursing students. Over 15 years of bedside nursing experience including background and specialty in Neonatal Intermediate Care and Pediatric Oncology/Hematology nursing. Worked at Children’s Hospital of San Antonio for 12 years as staff/relief charge nurse. A PhD in Nursing Science from the Texas Woman’s University.
