Emma Cho, PhD, RN
Assistant Professor
An accomplished nursing faculty member and researcher committed to advancing nursing science through rigorous research, scholarly collaboration, and evidence-based practice. My research focuses on understanding how psychosocial factors, particularly loneliness, influence diabetes self-management and health outcomes among older adults. Through peer-reviewed publications and collaborative research, I seek to generate evidence that informs interventions aimed at improving chronic disease self-management, reducing health disparities, and enhancing quality of life in aging populations. As a nursing educator, I integrate current evidence into teaching and mentor future nurses to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care. My long-term goal is to develop innovative, person-centered interventions that address the complex interplay between psychosocial well-being and chronic disease management, ultimately advancing nursing science and promoting healthy aging through impactful research and interdisciplinary collaboration.
