David Cadena, MD, CCMS, FAAFP, is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician and Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Health San Antonio. A native of San Antonio, Dr. Cadena earned his Bachelor of Science degree from St. Mary’s University and graduated from UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine. He completed his Family medicine Residency training at UT Health San Antonio, where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Cadena is a certified Culinary Medicine Specialist with expertise in the role of nutrition in chronic disease management and overall wellness. He has held multiple leadership roles in primary care, including serving as medical director of UT Health Shavano, UT Health Hill Country, and the UT Health Saturday clinic.
He is passionate about preventive care, office-based procedures, and delivering personalized healthcare through Concierge Medicine and Executive Health.
