Dr. Jacob Burton is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he plays a key role in both clinical practice and the academic development of future anesthesiologists. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University, followed by residency training in anesthesiology at Texas Tech University.
Dr. Burton spent a year in private practice, gaining valuable experience in a broad range of anesthetic techniques and patient care settings. Driven by a passion for education and mentorship, he transitioned to academic medicine, where he now focuses on shaping the next generation of anesthesiology professionals.
Dr. Burton is deeply committed to fostering a learning environment that emphasizes clinical excellence, ethical practice, and lifelong growth. His interests lie in medical education and professional development, and he is actively involved in training residents and medical students at UT San Antonio.
