Megan Brister, CNM

Megan Brister is originally from southwestern Virginia and attended The United States Military Academy at West Point graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2001. She was active-duty Army from 2001-2006 where she met her husband. She received an honorable discharge and spent a few years at home raising her children before returning to school to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2012.  Her family relocated to the San Antonio area in 2014 and her husband retired from the Army here in 2017. Megan earned her Master of Science in Nursing with certification in midwifery in 2016 from East Carolina University and has worked in private practice prior to coming to UT Health.
