Joseph Becker, MD

Dr. Joseph Becker completed his undergraduate education at the University of Chicago, followed by medical school at UT Health San Antonio. He trained in internal medicine at Yale School of Medicine and completed his fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also pursued an additional year of advanced training as a Wilsey Scholar. 

He currently serves as Associate Professor and Division Chief of Endocrinology in the Department of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio. While his clinical practice encompasses general endocrinology, his primary focus is on thyroid disease and thyroid cancer. He also directs a thyroid ultrasound and biopsy clinic at the UT Gateway Medical Specialty Clinic.
