Jack Badawy joined the Division of Hospital Medicine as an Assistant Professor at UT Health San Antonio and as an academic Hospitalist at University Hospital in 2017, rising to the rank of Associate Professor in April 2024. He graduated from the University of Alexandria, Faculty of Medicine, Egypt. Dr. Badawy completed his Internal Medicine residency at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2016 and completed a General Internal Medicine fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern, Dallas. He is American Board of Internal Medicine certified since 2016. His interests include medical education of all levels of learners, evidence based medicine and professional development. Dr. Badawy was awarded the UT Presidental Award in Emerging Teaching Excellence in January 2024.
