Assistant Professor/Clinical
Dr. Saleem Ali is a published, board certified Hospitalist who joined UT Health San Antonio as an Assistant Professor/Clinical providing at the South Texas Veterans' Healthcare System since 2018. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Downstate in 2009 before going on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at New York University's Langone School of Medicine in 2012.
Dr. Ali's clinical interests include Utilization Management, Quality Improvement, and Patient Safety. He is a dedicated member of Hospital Medicine faculty and was recognized with the "Division Excellence Award" (2023), nominated by his peers for exemplifying collaboration, teamwork, and collegiality within the Division.
