Mrs. Carranza received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2000. She practiced as NICU nurse for 14 years, during which time she became of member of University Hospital's Neonatal Transport Team. In 2014 she received her Master's of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and in 2015 she joined UT Health San Antonio as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP). She enjoys working with students and is the NNP student coordinator.
