Presenting thirty years progressive clinical, administration and leadership experience in continental United States, Asia, Europe and Africa during conflict and conciliation. Professor, educator, and leadership practitioner offering compelling attentiveness to public policy, economics and health policy, finance, and quality improvement for sustained care outcomes; as requirements for fully successful leadership preparation of next generation advanced health practitioners. My teaching goals are for students to (1) commit to change agent roles throughout professional practice careers; (2) disrupt and upend the sick care misnomer/incongruity, and (3) reimagine a transformed healthcare system; emerging, new, and robust, providing equally accessible standardized health and wellness across the life span for all populations.

- 02009 - 2013, Funder: Texas Workforce Commission, Hospital Corporation of America, and Universal Health Systems Skills Consortium Grant (San Antonio Division, Gulf States Division, Central West Division and North Texas Division), $277,000.00. Title: Texas Workforce Commission, Hospital Corporation of America, and Universal Health Systems Skills Consortium Grant (San Antonio Division, Gulf States Division, Central West Division and North Texas Division). Role: Principal Investigator. Grant Detail: Authored San Antonio Division portion of grant application. Grant funding of $277,000 (of 2.3 million award) awarded to San Antonio Division and San Antonio Colleges in 2010. The grant funding supported development and construction of an onsite Simulation Learning Center at Methodist Healthcare and high-fidelity simulation equipment. Over 400 incumbent Registered Nurses completed a 4-hour training course designed and developed to assess urgency, change in patient condition, communicate changes and recommendation through SBAR to attending physician. Training resulted in reduced numbers of Code Blue episodes and increased numbers of Rapid Response at a San Antonio area health system. This training established foundation for training up to 2500 additional incumbent and new graduate nurses. Developed and implemented a 40 clock hour nursing fundamentals training course. Trained 150 certified nursing assistants to meet critical shortage in acute Methodist Healthcare nursing units.
