Shuemara Kates S. Ondoy, MD
Assistant Professor/Clinical
Dr. Shuemara Kates Ondoy is a board-certified Hospitalist who joined UT Health San Antonio as an Assistant Professor/Clinical in July 2023. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology (graduating Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, TX in 2016 before going on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from the same institution in 2020 and completing her Internal Medicine residency in June 2023 (serving as Chief Resident from 2022 to 2023). She is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine and has earned the honor of "UTRGV Medical School Scholar" in 2016 and 2020 for being in excellent academic standing.
